
President, Pacific Lutheran University
Loren Anderson has served as president of Pacific Lutheran University since 1992. Previously, he was executive vice president of Concordia College (1986-1992), in addition to eight years as vice president of planning and development at Concordia (1976-1984). Anderson was the 2001 chair of the board of the National Association of Independent Colleges and Universities.
Anderson earned a B.A. in philosophy from Concordia College in Moorhead, Minnesota where he later held several positions including Executive Vice President. He received his master¯s degree from Michigan State University and his doctorate in communication theory and research from University of Michigan. Anderson serves as the ICW Board past chair and chair of the Public Policy Committee.
