ICW represents 10 member colleges and universities in public policy matters and encourages legislation at the state and federal levels that supports students and recognizes independent colleges and universities as vital partners in higher education.

ICW develops its legislative agenda in the fall each year. Our broad goal is to ensure that students can attend the high quality college that best serves their interests, needs, and aspirations. Typically our top priority is funding for student financial aid programs.
